The recent AppleTV miniseries, The Big Conn ([link removed]) , details lawyer Eric C. Conn’s massive Social Security fraud scheme and the devastation left in its wake. By bribing a judge to rubber stamp cases, Conn swindled half a billion dollars. Although Conn’s clients played no part in his fraud, thousands of people in Eastern Kentucky now stand to lose life-sustaining benefits.

In previous rounds of mass hearings, 140 pro bono lawyers stepped up to help, and their representation made a huge difference in the quality of the proceedings and in client outcomes. Now thousands of clients face redetermination hearings and need representation.
