*Wild Turkey August Production Survey*
We are looking for wild turkey observations from as many folks as we can across Maine August 1-31.
When you see turkeys, make note of the number of turkey including how many young (poults), the date, and town.
This helps our biologists monitor annual reproduction and contributes to our management decisions.
This survey is conducted in most of the states in the US, using the same protocol. This allows cross comparisons between states, as each state work towards balancing use of this important wildlife resource, maintaining a sustainable population and social tolerance.
Observations may be entered online here [ [link removed] ]. Or, fill out this form and mail it back. [ [link removed] ]
