Rashida Tlaib recently introduced a resolution to have Congress formally recognize “the Nakba” which seeks to undo the creation of Israel. It would be a giant step backward for the U.S.-Israel relationship and could put millions of Israeli lives at risk .

Rather than advancing recent cooperation between Israel and Arab states, Tlaib’s resolution woefully ignores the very history that led to the Nakba — violent outrage over the mere existence of a Jewish state and Arab leaders’ refusal to acknowledge years of diplomatic negotiations. It emboldens senseless, anti-Israel hate .

Friend, we have seen time and time again how Rep. Tlaib’s rhetoric paints a false picture of Israel and all that it stands for. We cannot sit idly by while she decimates U.S.-Israel relations .
