Rashida Tlaib recently introduced a resolution to have Congress formally recognize “the Nakba” which seeks to undo the creation of Israel. It would be a giant step backward for the U.S.-Israel relationship and could put millions of Israeli lives at risk. 

Rather than advancing recent cooperation between Israel and Arab states, Tlaib’s resolution woefully ignores the very history that led to the Nakba — violent outrage over the mere existence of a Jewish state and Arab leaders’ refusal to acknowledge years of diplomatic negotiations. It emboldens senseless, anti-Israel hate.

Friend, we have seen time and time again how Rep. Tlaib’s rhetoric paints a false picture of Israel and all that it stands for. We cannot sit idly by while she decimates U.S.-Israel relations.

On August 2, Rep. Tlaib will go up against pro-Israel candidate Janice Winfrey for a seat on Michigan’s 12th district. If you feel strongly that Tlaib’s actions only further the U.S.-Israel divide, join us in supporting Winfrey’s campaign.
