This is what happens when we take our eye off the ball. Right-wing radicals are slithering into state government positions, and Peroutka could be next in Maryland.

Peroutka is a Christian nationalist who opposes abortion and marriage equality, and even called public education a communist plot.

Maryland is terrifyingly close to Virginia, both geographically and demographically. This could happen here if we don’t nip it in the bud now.
