Last week, Senator Joe Manchin said will not support a climate deal after months of negotiations with Senate leadership, instead standing with Big Oil and Republicans. It leaves the deal one vote short of climate action in the Senate.

Friend -- things are moving quickly. Temperatures are spiking in the U.S. and around the world. Texas and Oklahoma hit 115 degrees this week. President Biden spoke earlier this week, calling the climate crisis a "clear and present danger."

He vowed to respond. We need to hold him to that promise. The action that Biden takes -- and how far he goes -- will depend on the pressure he gets from the environmental movement right now.

As the administration considers new environmental rules, they're taking public feedback into consideration. They need to be hearing overwhelmingly from the environmental movement -- and that's going to take a major effort.
