e deemed justified. It was determined that he followed all applicable polic=

However, soon after Ben was cleared, the Huntsville District Attorney began=
to use him and his case as a political football. They offered him multiple=
plea deals, but Ben Darby firmly believed his actions were justified and r=
esisted all pleas.=20

Ben was sentenced to 25 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. He i=
s not eligible for an appeal bond due to the excessive sentence he was give=
