Donald Trump should face criminal charges for his role in the January 6 insurrection. And according to a recent poll, a majority of Americans agree.

But that’s not all.

The same survey found “Republicans were the only partisan group whose majority do not want to see Trump being charged over the Capitol riot and his attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election.”

Even in the face of insurmountable evidence that Trump incited a deadly insurrection, Republicans are standing by him! It’s horrifying, but at this point, not particularly surprising.
