I proudly cosponsored and voted to pass the Equality Act, a
bill that prohibits descrimination on the basis of sex, sexual
orientation or gender identity, because everyone in this country
deserves equal protection under the law.

Unfortunately, my opponent called me “crazy” for sponsoring
this bill. He’s not only attacking me but also attacking families
like mine.

Standing up for equality for everyone is not “crazy,” it’s an
American value. I will always stand up for EVERY American’s equal

The Equality Act is one of 400 bills the House has passed
since January. Unfortunately, the Republicans in the Senate have
been ignoring crucial legislation like the Equality Act.
