Read Here VICTORY | Oconomowoc Area School District Backs Down on Legal Threat The Oconomowoc Area School District (OASD) announced that despite issuing a cease-and-desist letter threatening a defamation lawsuit to local parent and activist, Alexandra Schweitzer, the District now considers the “issue closed.” WILL sent a letter to OASD attorneys in mid-June, on behalf of Ms. Schweitzer, explaining that her public statements do not meet the legal standard for defamation and that her speech is protected by the First Amendment. The OASD statement indicates there will be no forthcoming legal action against Ms. Schweitzer. Read Here OPINION | Wisconsin Democrats Abandon the Rule of Law to Protect Abortion WILL President and General Counsel, Rick Esenberg, wrote in National Review on statements made by Governor Evers and Attorney General Kaul that explicitly violate their oaths of office to not enforce a statute that prohibits most abortions. Esenberg writes, "In categorically promising to excuse all violations of this particular law, Evers has arrogated to himself the power to rescind it.
