Reuters: U.S. Supreme Court allows Louisiana electoral map faulted for racial bias

John,
Today is a holiday meant to celebrate our democratic ideals β but the Supreme Court has once again thrown them under the bus.
When a federal judge blocked Louisiana's manipulated congressional map back in June, it was a victory for voters, particularly for Black voters whose political power had been diminished by GOP gerrymandering.
But a few days ago, the Supreme Court's conservative majority reinstated the Republican-drawn map . Justices Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, and Stephen Breyer dissented.
We have to be prepared for potential changes in Louisiana and across the country so we can respond accordingly in the states and at the ballot box. Will you help with a donation?

After the conservative justices overturned Roe v. Wade, A.G. Holder said:
βThe Supreme Court must be reformed in order to ensure that the Court serves the interests of the people instead of the interests of an extreme, minority faction... Now is the time for the people to engage in our electoral process and to reimagine, and restore, our democratic institutions so that they live up to our founding ideals.β
