John,
Today is a holiday meant to celebrate our democratic ideals – but the Supreme Court has once again thrown them under the bus.
When a federal judge blocked Louisiana's manipulated congressional map back in June, it was a victory for voters, particularly for Black voters whose political power had been diminished by GOP gerrymandering.
But a few days ago, the Supreme Court's conservative majority reinstated the Republican-drawn map. Justices Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, and Stephen Breyer dissented.
We have to be prepared for potential changes in Louisiana and across the country so we can respond accordingly in the states and at the ballot box. Will you help with a donation?
After the conservative justices overturned Roe v. Wade, A.G. Holder said:

That's exactly what the NDRC is working toward this election year – helping to win races that will be critical to upholding democracy and justice.
This Independence Day, will you recommit to the ideals this country was founded on by making a donation to help us fight for them?
