This holiday celebrates our country’s freedom – but this year, we’ve lived through so many events that have threatened our freedom and even taken it away.
The threat of gun violence looms over our ability to live freely: Weapons of war are on our streets, threatening mass tragedy, like the shootings in Buffalo and Uvalde, and far more shootings that do not break headlines. And now, the Supreme Court’s radical interpretation of the Second Amendment means more guns in public spaces, and it puts all Americans at risk.
