*TAKE ACTION: House of Representatives voting this week on H.Res.326*

Dear Supporter,

We just learned that the House of Representatives is voting this week on H.Res.326, a resolution supporting a negotiated two-state outcome to the Israeli-Palestinian issue.

American Muslims for Palestine takes no position on this matter. However, we are concerned that *this resolution waters down US opposition to Israeli military occupation and colonization of Palestinian land*.

And passing a resolution supporting Palestinian statehood without actually *pressuring Israel to allow for Palestinian sovereignty* is pointless and counterproductive.

That's why we need you to *pick up the phone right now* and call your Representative about this resolution.

When someone answers, please *ask if your Representative is planning to vote for or against the resolution*, or if they will be abstaining. Ask why they are planning to vote this way.

* If they are *voting for* the resolution, ask them to supplement their vote by explaining the concrete steps they will take to end Israeli occupation and colonization of Palestinian land.

* If they are *abstaining or voting against* the resolution because it is not strong enough on Palestinian rights, then please thank them.

* If they are *voting against* the resolution because they do not support Palestinian self-determination, then express your opposition.
