thousands of suburban swing voters who helped fuel the Democratic Party's
gains in recent years are becoming Republicans.
More than one million voters across 43 states have switched to the
Republican Party over the last year, according to voter registration data
analyzed by The Associated Press. The previously unreported number reflects
a phenomenon that is playing out in virtually every region of the country -

Did you know there are approximately 16,000 Independence Day fireworks
displays that take place each year? America's 4th of July tradition is a
bit of a loud one but this custom dates back to 1777.
The tradition of setting off fireworks on the 4th of July began in
Philadelphia on July 4, 1777, during the first organized celebration of
Independence Day. Ship's cannon fired a 13-gun salute in honor of the 13
colonies. That same night, the Sons of Liberty set off fireworks over
Boston Common.
Happy 4th of July!
