John — the General Election in Colorado started only two days ago, and already things are moving quickly.

We’re already under attack from out-of-state right-wing groups — and we’re already facing a major fundraising deadline at midnight tonight.

So in a moment, I’m going to ask you to pitch in and help us in our mission to make sure our best days are ahead. [[link removed]] But I’ve always believed that any candidate who asks for your support has an obligation to be clear about what they stand for — so I want to first take a moment and talk about what I will do in my second term as Governor if I win this race.

- I will defend Coloradans’ fundamental freedoms, like the right to choose, the right to marry who we love, and the right to vote.

- I will help Colorado families hold on to more of their hard-earned money — including saving people money on health care, delivering tax relief, and creating more affordable housing options.

- I will work with Republicans and Democrats to aggressively defend Coloradans from wildfires, while protecting Colorado's clean air and water and preserving access to our precious public lands.

- I will prioritize safe, healthy communities by increasing mental health services across the state while tackling crime, drug addiction, and gun violence.

- I will continue standing up to special interests and those who seek to spread misinformation. And I will put Coloradans first — always.
