John — the General Election in Colorado started only two days ago, and already things are moving quickly.

We’re already under attack from out-of-state right-wing groups — and we’re already facing a major fundraising deadline at midnight tonight.

So in a moment, I’m going to ask you to pitch in and help us in our mission to make sure our best days are ahead. But I’ve always believed that any candidate who asks for your support has an obligation to be clear about what they stand for — so I want to first take a moment and talk about what I will do in my second term as Governor if I win this race.

• I will defend Coloradans’ fundamental freedoms, like the right to choose, the right to marry who we love, and the right to vote.

• I will help Colorado families hold on to more of their hard-earned money — including saving people money on health care, delivering tax relief, and creating more affordable housing options.

• I will work with Republicans and Democrats to aggressively defend Coloradans from wildfires, while protecting Colorado's clean air and water and preserving access to our precious public lands.

• I will prioritize safe, healthy communities by increasing mental health services across the state while tackling crime, drug addiction, and gun violence.

• I will continue standing up to special interests and those who seek to spread misinformation. And I will put Coloradans first — always.
