There are over 70 million people displaced by conflict, persecution and disaster worldwide—more than at any point since World War II. The sheer scale of the displacement is striking and I’m writing today because with your help, we can do something about it.
As a supporter of the IRC, I know you agree with me when I say it is our moral obligation to be there for these mothers and fathers and their children.
This Giving Tuesday, help us give refugees the support they need to survive, recover and rebuild their lives. Donate now and your gift will be matched, helping us reach twice as many people in Syria, Yemen, at the U.S.-Mexico border and in crisis areas around the world.

Seeing these statistics and taking in the magnitude of the refugee crisis is difficult, but my team at the IRC, the people we serve and supporters like you offer so much hope.
I am proud that last year, with your support, my colleagues educated 1.6 million children, supported nearly 28,000 village savings and loan association members and were on the frontlines, day in and day out, providing emergency aid in some of the toughest places in the world. In Yemen alone, we reached nearly 800,000 people with lifesaving health care.
None of this would be possible without dedicated people like you.
Our work is about all of us – what we stand for, how we see our place in the world. It is a test of our character. When we stand up for the values of welcome and refuge, we don’t just rescue people whose lives have been shattered by conflict and disaster, we rescue ourselves.
This Giving Tuesday, I hope you will show your support for refugees by making a gift to the IRC. If you give now, you can help us reach twice as many refugees caught in unimaginable crises around the world.
