Weekly Recap: June 10, 2022

Hi Team,

This has been a busy week for us at Team King Siri HQ! Our campaign was just endorsed by Sierra Club Maryland, one of the most influential grassroots environmental action organizations in the country!

This endorsement shows the rest of the state what we already know: John King and Michelle Siri are the environmental ticket in this race.

That's not all — this week also included the first televised gubernatorial debate, the Annapolis Pride parade, the LG forum, events around the state, and more! Keep scrolling to read more about this week and find out what we're up to next.

Thank you for your continued support!

— Team King

"

Washington Post: Md. Democrats jab, offer broad visions in lone governor’s race debate
"King, who emphasized his role in education, said the state’s sweeping education plan 'should be the floor, not the ceiling,' and was the only candidate who did not endorse a holiday from the state’s gas tax, saying the state should invest in reducing dependence on oil: 'We need to act like climate change is the existential threat that it is,' he said."
