Dear John,

Scenes of infants ripped from their mother's arms, and cries from children kept in cages have come to define the Trump administration's despicable immigration policy. That's just one side of the story...

Every day detained women face the threat of sexual and physical assault. They are denied access to birth control, abortion care, and personal hygiene necessities. Several pregnant women have experienced miscarriages while in custody and have been denied vital care before, during, and after the miscarriage occurred.

NOW is on the forefront of highlighting the stories of women in detention, and right NOW you have an opportunity to support this vital work. For #GivingTuesday NOW has a goal to TRIPLE your donation up to $25,000 for the Stand Up! Speak Up! Matching Challenge. Will you join me in adding your voice and support to NOW before tomorrow's deadline?

As a supporter of NOW, I know you're passionate about all women's rights. But for many when we think about women's issues, we don't always think about women who are incarcerated. The truth is, women of color, refugees, and migrants face a compounding set of circumstances, and when we stand with them our collective movement is stronger.

When you give to NOW before our Giving Tuesday deadline, you are helping to raise awareness and strengthen the defense of women and girls who are being detained. Without the advocacy of institutions like NOW, their stories go untold and the abuses they face go unnoticed.

While the mainstream news might have turned their focus to the next big story, our community is standing up and speaking out for these women who don't have a direct channel to the outside world. These women need our voices now more than ever, and as a NOW supporter, I know you won't turn your back on them.

You must act by midnight tomorrow for your gift to be tripled, so don't wait until it's too late. Make your Giving Tuesday gift today!

Thank you for all you do to support equal rights for all women and girls.
