new get out the vote campaign: letter writing. Yes, that’s right – the
tried-and-true method of handwritten letters was tested to help encourage
voter participation among unlikely voters, and it paid off in a big way –
boosting nationwide voter turnout by almost 1%! ^[1,2]

People For members were instrumental in the success of this program and
were praised by our partners for their efforts: with a thousand members
sending over 70,000 letters to voters across the country. And again, for
Virginia’s 2021 election, People For members sent over 20,000 letters!
