John,
The results for Texas’ 28th runoff election were just certified — and
there is only a gap of 281 votes. And now, we’re officially filing for a
recount.
[ [link removed] ]South Texas isn't satisfied with the status quo, and we’re not done
fighting. Can you help us get a head start on raising the resources we
need by splitting a contribution to our recount fund and DFA? Every dollar
we raise right now will help us make sure every vote is accurately and
faithfully counted.

Our movement was never just about one politician — it was about taking on
an unjust system that rewards corruption and corporate profits at the
expense of the needs of working people.
With a vote margin of just under 0.6 percent, I owe it to my community to
see this through to the end. Regardless of the outcome, we’re proving that
South Texas isn’t satisfied with the business as usual anymore and they’re
ready for fundamental change — this is just the beginning.
To help cover the cost of the recount, we launched a new fund to raise
what we need to make sure every vote is counted and every voice is heard.
We know Cuellar is going to spend as much money as possible on legal
challenges, and we need to be ready to counter these challenges.
[ [link removed] ]Now that we’ve officially filed for a recount, we are going to need all
the support we can get to continue this fight. Will you split a
contribution to DFA and the recount fund today?

This is our opportunity to ensure we elect a fresh voice, a pro-union
leader, a champion for reproductive rights who reflects the future of the
Democratic party. We are done with the status quo.
Thank you for fighting with us,
Jessica Cisneros
