Our movement was never just about one politician — it was about taking on an unjust system that rewards corruption and corporate profits at the expense of the needs of working people. With a vote margin of just under 0.6 percent, I owe it to my community to see this through to the end. Regardless of the outcome, we’re proving that South Texas isn’t satisfied with the business as usual anymore and they’re ready for fundamental change — this is just the beginning. To help cover the cost of the recount, we launched a new fund to raise what we need to make sure every vote is counted and every voice is heard. We know Cuellar is going to spend as much money as possible on legal challenges, and we need to be ready to counter these challenges. 
 This is our opportunity to ensure we elect a fresh voice, a pro-union leader, a champion for reproductive rights who reflects the future of the Democratic party. We are done with the status quo.  ![]()  |
