Every minute Washington fails to prevent gun violence in this country, we all watch in horror as the tragedies pile up, the body counts rise, and communities get torn apart.

Communities like Uvalde, Tulsa, Buffalo, Oak Creek, Milwaukee, Brookfield, and just yesterday, Racine. Every day, this is a crisis, and it demands our urgency.

But too many politicians don’t have the guts to stand up to the gun lobby and pass commonsense gun safety legislation. We’re talking about politicians like Ron Johnson — who has taken $1,269,486 from the NRA and refused to protect our communities from gun violence.

If we want to change our gun laws, we have to change our leaders. That’s why Sarah Godlewski is running for U.S. Senate.

Wisconsinites deserve better than a senator who is bought and paid for by the NRA. We need someone who’s going to fight for comprehensive background checks, red flag laws, a ban on high-capacity magazines, and more. That’s what Sarah will do in the U.S. Senate.

As a mom, Sarah knows the fear that takes over when you drop your kid off at school and worry about their safety. She also knows that we can’t afford to just sit by and let Washington do nothing, tragedy after tragedy. It’s time to do something.
