Applications for the New Voices Student Leaders Institute will be accepted through June 10. The free online Institute will run Monday through Thursday from July 11-21. High school students interested in being leaders in the movement to restore and protect student press freedom should apply today.

Before you head out to cover a protest, please check out our guide for covering protests ([link removed]) . We have created checklists with helpful tips for reporters before, during and after the protest. In addition, the Student Press Law Center — with the help of our nationwide network of volunteer attorneys — will operate a Rapid Response Hotline on June 11 to provide free legal assistance to student media in responding to situations that might arise.
