Pete Flores - Texas State Senate District 24
2019 GOPAC Emerging Leader Senator Pete Flores secured the Republican
nomination in the runoff primary for Texas State Senate District 24. He
previously served in Texas Senate District 19. He will go on to face
Democrat Kathy Jones-Hospod in November.
Tyler Harper - Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture
2013 GOPAC Emerging Leader and State Senator Tyler Harper secured the
Republican nomination for Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture. Senator
Harper has served in the Georgia State Senate since 2013 and is a 7th
generation farmer and small businessman.
Races to Watch:
5 Districts Republicans must win to hold majority in the Arizona State
Senate.
District 2
State Representative Steve Kaiser, a 2022 GOPAC Emerging Leader, is running
for this open Senate seat. As a legislator, Rep. Kaiser focuses on
"limiting government and holding it accountable, making education work for
more students and families in Arizona, supporting a strong and secure
border, and promoting a prosperous and affordable Arizona."
District 4
Nancy Barto is challenging Democrat Senator Christine Marsh for this seat
just north of Scottsdale. Barto currently represents Senate District 15,
having previously served in the State Senate from 2011 to 2019 and in the
State House from 2007 to 2011.
District 9
2019 GOPAC Emerging Leader and Senator Tyler Pace is running for reelection
in the new Senate District 9. In 2018, Pace was elected to represent Senate
District 25 where he became a sitting member on the Education Committee and
the Health & Human Services Committee.
District 13
Senator JD Mesnard is running for Senate District 13, he currently
represents Senate District 17. Mesnard is a former member of the Arizona
House of Representatives where he served as Speaker of the House from 2017
to 2019.
District 16
Senator TJ Shope currently represents Senate District 8 and is running for
reelection to represent Senate District 16. He previously served in the
Arizona State House where he was Speaker Pro Tempore.

GOPAC Election Fund Endorses Tom Barrett for Congress
Candidate for Michigan's 7th Congressional District
The GOPAC Election Fund is proud to endorse Michigan State Senator Tom
Barrett for Michigan's 7th Congressional District.
Tom joined the United States Army his senior year in high school, taking
his first-ever airplane flight to Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill,
Oklahoma.
His service in the military continued for more than 22 years, with
deployments in Kuwait, Guantanamo Bay, South Korea, and combat in Iraq.
After returning, the Army selected him to attend flight school at Fort
Rucker, Alabama where he learned to fly some of the most advanced
helicopters in the world.
In 2014, Tom ran for State Representative, defeating an incumbent Democrat
by just 148 votes, while running ahead of the incumbent Republican
governor. He won a rematch in 2016, and then defeated a well-funded
Democrat in the top targeted Senate seat of 2018 by 10 percentage points,
running ahead of Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer by 14 points in a wave
election year for Michigan Democrats.

MOMENTUM IN VA-2: GOPAC Endorsed Jen Kiggans Leading Big In The Primary For
VA-2
New polling obtained by POLITICO shows Virginia State Senator Jen Kiggans
up big in her primary bid to challenge incumbent Rep. Elaine Luria (D). The
polling, conducted among 400 likely GOP primary voters from May 24-26 by
Basswood Research, found Kiggans with 43% of the primary vote, well ahead
of challengers Tommy Altman (8.5%) and Jarome Bell (7.8%).
