My opponent is facing serious allegations of corruption and dishonesty. She’s currently under investigation by the House Ethics Committee for promising a potential opponent a high-paying job on her staff if he agreed to not run against her.

And not only that, she traded nearly 6 million dollars of stock – all while having access to insider information.

Let’s be clear: politicians that prioritize their own political ambitions over playing fair and doing what’s right are exactly the reason Washington is so broken.

I didn’t go to Washington to play politics. I went to make the lives of hardworking folks in IL-06 better – cheaper healthcare, better pay for dignified work, and a cleaner environment for our children to grow up in.

I’ve proudly served IL-06 for two terms. Last year, I attended over 160 community events and held over 230 constituent meetings so that I could better know the people that make up IL-06 and their priorities. I’ve always put this district first.

But right now, polling shows that I’m ahead of my opponent by just single digits . And with a race as competitive as mine, that’s too close for comfort.
