John,
Today marks the start of Pride Month, when we commemorate the 1969 Stonewall Riots and the movement that put us on a path towards equality.
As a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community, Iโm excited to spend this month celebrating how far weโve come and the progress weโve made in the fight for equality. But I also recognize that, almost 50 years after Stonewall, we still have a long way to go.
The fight for justice isnโt easy, and too often, it feels like weโre moving backwards. Across the country, bigotry is on the rise. Violence against members of the LGBTQ+ community โ particularly against people of color โ is on the rise. And corporate politicians like Donald Payne Jr. have failed to take the action necessary to meet this moment.
But Iโve been a political organizer for a long time. Iโve seen what it takes to make progress, and I know that, if we continue to stand together, take action, and demand change, we can win the fight for equality and justice.

Iโve always stood with the LGBTQ+ community. Iโve always fought for LGBTQ+ equality. And Iโm running for Congress to continue that fight.
Thank you for standing with me, and happy Pride! ๐ณ๏ธโ๐
