Each Zoë Band is made from a life vest once worn by a refugee during their dangerous journey across the Aegean Sea. This Black Friday, when you donate $55 or more to the IRC, we’ll send you a limited edition, IRC-branded Zoë Band to say thanks. Not only will your band help us spread awareness about the refugee crisis, you’ll also be helping us provide lifesaving support to refugee families in Greece and all around the world.

Our partners at When We Band Together work to upcycle life vests worn by refugees and left on the beaches of Lesvos, Greece. Each bracelet is handmade by a local seamstress and is buckled together with a steel magnetic clasp. The name Zoë Bands was created by our Greek partners—who selected it because “Zoë” means “Life.”
