Hudson Institute Launches New China Center

WASHINGTON—Hudson Institute launched its new China Center [[link removed]] today, which will be dedicated to crafting policy responses to keep America’s strategic focus on China and foster a national and global dialogue rooted in the values of freedom and democracy.

Under the leadership of Hudson Senior Fellow Dr. Miles Yu [[link removed]], who previously served as the senior China policy and planning advisor at the State Department, this policy initiative will bring together leading China experts, policy makers, and national leaders to solidify and extend the non-partisan national consensus on America’s approach to China.

Hudson Distinguished Fellow and former Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo [[link removed]] will serve as the chair of the Center’s advisory board.

“To have a China Center at Hudson, led by Miles, is a big step forward in fostering democracy’s cause against the central threat of our times: the Chinese communist model of governance,” said Secretary Pompeo.

“Hudson was founded to tackle existential threats to America and its allies and the greatest threat today originates from the Chinese Communist Party,” said Hudson President and CEO John P. Walters [[link removed]]. “Our new Center will bring together analysis and leadership to counter that threat.”

The China Center is currently recruiting for a full-time program manager. Further information about the position and application process can be found at here [[link removed]].
