Under the leadership of Hudson Senior Fellow Dr. Miles Yu, who previously served as the senior China policy and planning advisor at the State Department, this policy initiative will bring together leading China experts, policy makers, and national leaders to solidify and extend the non-partisan national consensus on America’s approach to China. Hudson Distinguished Fellow and former Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo will serve as the chair of the Center’s advisory board. “To have a China Center at Hudson, led by Miles, is a big step forward in fostering democracy’s cause against the central threat of our times: the Chinese communist model of governance,” said Secretary Pompeo. “Hudson was founded to tackle existential threats to America and its allies and the greatest threat today originates from the Chinese Communist Party,” said Hudson President and CEO John P. Walters. “Our new Center will bring together analysis and leadership to counter that threat.” The China Center is currently recruiting for a full-time program manager.
