In a moment, I'm going to ask you to chip in $10 to help us meet our mid-quarter fundraising goal. Mail-in ballots have officially landed in the 49th district, so I hope you'll give me a chance to explain why your support is so important.

As you know, midterm elections are typically tough for the party in power. This cycle, our district lines were redrawn making things a bit more challenging. Kevin McCarthy’s super PAC now has its sights squarely on our district, and CalMatters recently downgraded our chances of keeping CA-49 blue to a “TOSSUP.”

We’re making extraordinary progress for the people of this district – on San Onofre, business and economic relief, climate change and so much more. We’re leaving no stone unturned in our effort to educate new constituents about who I am and my record of delivering results.

That’s why this mid-quarter $35,000 fundraising goal is so critical.

All the "experts" want us to believe that Democrats are headed for a blowout in November. We're not going for it. And we're doing our part to keep the energy and enthusiasm high.
