Help Claremont Recover the American Idea This #GivingTuesday, you have a chance to recover the American Idea Dear John, #GivingTuesday is a global day of charitable giving fueled by a philanthropic, holiday spirit. This year, #GivingTuesday falls on Tuesday, December 3, and we ask you to join us in recovering the American idea with your charitable gift. What do we mean by “recovering the American idea"? At Claremont, we understand that the practical and “on-the-ground” politics of campaigns and daily policy must be informed by high-minded attention to the principles of American political justice, properly understood. We must continue to fight progressivism—and, increasingly, identity politics and its enforcement arm, political correctness—on the 'high ground' at the level of ideas if we are to have any chance of lasting political success. This is why we’re committed to the battle of ideas and promoting the scholarship of the politics of freedom. We advance this scholarship primarily through the Claremont Review of Books, our prestigious annual fellowships, our Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, and our latest project, "The American Mind." We ask you to join Claremont in our mission to preserve, protect, and defend the American idea through these important programs. Your generous gift of $25, $50, $100 or more will go a long way toward accomplishing just that. Together, we must ensure this great but fragile experiment in liberty and self-government that we call America endures. Now is the time to recover the American idea and restore the principles of the American Founding to their rightful and preeminent authority in our national life. Thank you!
