John, we’re
disappointed, but not surprised.

Yesterday, the Senate failed to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act.

Majority Leader Chuck Schumer called to hold this vote after news broke
that the Supreme Court plans to overturn Roe v. Wade in the coming weeks.
But we knew leading up to this vote that there was realistically no chance
of passing the Women’s Health Protection Act as long as the GOP has the
power to filibuster. It’s why everything from a $15 minimum wage to basic
voter protections has been blocked over and over again in the Senate.

We’re not going to sugarcoat this,
John: These are immense challenges we’re facing.
But there is too much on the line to stop our fight here.

We need to keep growing momentum to abolish the filibuster. We need to
elect more leaders to Congress who will fight to help pass the Women’s
Health Protection Act and defeat those who stand in its way. And we need
to continue sharing our stories about why receiving abortion care is a
fundamental human right.

That’s why we’re proud of Cori’s leadership these past weeks. Cori has
been leading the charge for abortion justice by sharing her own abortion
story, joining local community rallies, and advocating in Congress to pass
the Women’s Health Protection Act.

Cori understands that yesterday’s vote is not the end: Change is possible
but it’s going to take sustained organizing work to defend abortion access
in our country. [ [link removed] ]Will you join us by making a $5 donation

abortion care for all?

The surge of attacks on reproductive rights is why Cori testified in front
of Congress last fall and publicly shared for the first time that at the
age of 17 she was raped, became pregnant, and made the decision to have an
abortion.

We’re proud of Cori’s bravery and know that if we continue sharing our
stories — we can resist against the GOP’s attempts to restrict abortion
access in America.

We must continue pushing for the expansion of the Supreme Court and the
passage of policies that would protect access to abortion. Cori is ready
to lead this work, but she also needs our grassroots support to fund the
organizing and legislating efforts she’s currently doing to defend
abortion access.

to show your support in this work as we push for the protection of our
reproductive rights.

Together,

Team Cori
