Maine Republicans are officially coming after abortion access in Maine. On the first day of their convention, Republicans voted to adopt a platform against same-sex marriage, sex education, and abortion.

These hateful attacks on Mainers are nothing new for the GOP, but last week’s Roe news means they’re closer than ever to actually accomplishing an abortion ban. If Roe is overturned, Maine’s governor will be our last line of defense in the fight to protect choice.

It’s simple: protecting abortion access in Maine means re-electing pro-choice politicians like Governor Mills. Will you step up now and contribute whatever you can to help us in this fight? [link removed]

Gov. Mills and fellow Democrats in the legislature are committed to making sure Maine’s abortion protections remain intact. But if the Supreme Court overturns Roe and Paul LePage takes power, rights we’ve taken for granted for generations could change overnight.
