John – you’ve probably seen what’s happening in the United States regarding Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court ruling which effectively legalized abortion across the country. While a leaked draft opinion suggesting Roe v. Wade may be overturned is deeply concerning, we must remember that it is exactly what it is – a draft opinion, not law. Right now, abortion is still legal across the US.

A final vote on this is due in the coming months, and we urge the Supreme Court to make the right decision – one rooted in dignity, liberty, and freedom for all of its citizens seeking safe and legal abortion care. In the meantime here are some useful resources, along with some tips on what you can do to help:

- Join the Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Bans Off Our Bodies campaign >> [link removed] )

- Get to know the coalition of sexual and reproductive health and rights organizations in the US >> [link removed]

Our collective support, care, and attention is needed now more than ever. Please share these resources far and wide with anyone who might benefit from them. Together, let’s work towards a world where no one is forced through a pregnancy against their will or consent.

In solidarity,

The IPPF Team
