Comrade Friend --
The leaked opinion from the Supreme Court is an unconscionable attack on reproductive rights. All people deserve access to safe, free abortion on demand without apology or explanation. Any effort to strip these rights and regulate access is a war on the working class - especially people of color.
Abortion is legal in Michigan for now - however a “trigger law” on the books threatens that with the end of Roe, and the Republican legislature continues to attack abortion access despite overwhelming support for the right to choose.
Congress has had decades to codify Roe v. Wade in law. We demand that Congress pass legislation to enshrine abortion as a human right immediately and end the filibuster to do so.

We're calling on all of our members to join us at Theodore Levin Federal Courthouse (231 W Lafayette Boulevard, Detroit) for an emergency rally at 5PM today. We'll be joined by Detroit DSA Member and State Representative Abraham Aiyash, as well as Reproductive Rights Group of Michigan, and the Women's March.
