Well, it looks like we might be back to square one.

Our president could once again shut down the government at the end of the year
unless he gets the money for his biggest vanity project yet: the border wall.

Instead of learning from his last government shutdown failure, when the
longest shutdown in American history left thousands of government workers
without pay for over 35 days, our president is instead rejecting common sense
and reason for blatant partisanship.

My colleagues and I have secured a funding deal until December, but after
that, there’s no telling what could happen if the Trump Administration shuts
down the government again.

That’s why I need your help. Tell the Trump Administration we can’t afford
another government shutdown over border wall funding. Add your name to this
petition today!

Americans have come out in droves to stand against Trump’s unnecessary and
expensive border wall. We can’t keep having this same partisan fight over and
over again.

Instead, they want their representatives, and their president, to get back to
work to pass comprehensive immigration reform. A government shutdown would take
us backwards.

So let’s make it clear: we don’t want another government shutdown over border
wall funding that the Trump Administration doesn’t have the votes for.
