Today, I am writing to you with a deep sense of urgency. Due to redistricting, portions of the Coachella Valley where I call home will be losing representation by a wonderful member of congress -- Rep. Raul Ruiz. That’s the bad news.

But here is the great news: We have an amazing Democratic candidate running in the new 41st Congressional District -- Will Rollins, who I am strongly supporting.

Will has the perfect resume for this district. As a former federal prosecutor, he has a sense of fairness and justice that comes across the second you meet him. It’s appalling that Republican Ken Calvert could retain this seat which includes diverse communities who stand for equality, democracy and fairness. We must take a stand against Calvert, a 30 year incumbent who voted to overturn the presidential election in 2020, who voted against bringing well paying jobs into California, and who consistently voted not to protect women, the LGBTQ community and middle class working families in Riverside County.
