Dear members and supporters,

We send you care, love, and solidarity in this time of ruthless war,
devastating fossil fuel extraction and expansion, and a two-year pandemic
that continues to rage on. We unite with people resisting genocide and
brutal repression in Ukraine, Syria, Palestine, Afghanistan, Yemen,
Somalia, and the Philippines, along with antimilitarist movements around
the world.

Together with the Feminist Peace Initiative, we are launching a _NO WAR NO
WARMING_ [2] campaign, calling on elected officials to support actions and
policies that:

* Clean up, remediate, and transition military bases and militarized
communities.

* Reallocate funding from institutions that propagate harm, and invest in
community resources.

* End weapons manufacturing and distribution, and war profiteering.

The U.S. military is the single largest consumer of fossil fuels on the
planet. To end the fossil fuel economy and build a regenerative economy, we
need to shut down fossil-fueled military bases and operations, withdraw
military installations outside the U.S. and on occupied territories, and
ensure toxic remediation and a Just Transition of base sites to healthy and
resilient community uses.

Reducing climate pollution from militarized forces requires a full
accounting of military greenhouse gas emissions and reduction targets, like
those outlined in the RESOLUTION FOR DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE EMISSIONS
REPORTING AND REDUCTION [3]. Ending military pollution also means we must
take action to reallocate funding from climate-destructive and war
industry-driven policies and invest in alternative community solutions.

It’s time to ban weapons manufacturing, repurpose military equipment and
weapons manufacturing facilities for regenerative livelihoods, and
negotiate treaties to ban the trade, trafficking, and distribution of
weapons of war. To ensure a healthy future, we must end the production,
development, and testing of nuclear weapons that have historically been
tested on Indigenous land and in communities of color in the U.S. and
abroad.

HONOR LIVES LOST BY DEMANDING AN END TO GREED AND WAR PROFITEERING

Each year, the World March of Women (WMW) organizes 24 HOURS OF
INTERNATIONAL FEMINIST SOLIDARITY [8] against the power of transnational
corporations, in remembrance of the Rana Plaza factory collapse on April
24, 2013, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. More than 1,000 women died and many were
injured while working for poverty wages in inhumane conditions.

From the deathtrap garment factories of fast fashion empires to the sleek
boardrooms of weapons manufacturers, corporate greed doesn’t blink when
it comes to risking — and taking — the lives of vulnerable people on
our planet.

This April 24, we join WMW in the streets and on social media to denounce
neoliberal and imperialist forces that are attacking the sovereignty of
people and territories around the world through border restrictions and the
war industry. We also unite with movement allies DISSENTERS [9] in their
campaign to stop Boeing’s arms genocide and shameful legacy of war
profiteering in U.S. communities and abroad.

As one of the world’s largest weapons manufacturers, Boeing produces and
sell bombs, missiles, helicopters, and other war technologies to
militaries, reaping nearly $100 billion in profits annually from war and
militarized violence. Despite this, after Boeing announced they would be
moving their headquarters to Chicago, the City of Chicago paid them $29
million in tax reimbursements, and many local institutions have developed
partnerships with them, including area universities and Chicago Public
Schools.

Together, we struggle against systems of war and imperialism, and all
profiteers of death, destruction, and labor exploitation. We demand an end
to war, divestment from the military industrial complex, and reinvestment
in life-affirming, regenerative ways of living. We encourage you to show
solidarity with communities devastated by war by signing the petition
calling for BOEING OUT OF CHICAGO [10] and urging your congressional
representatives to support NO WAR, NO WARMING [2]!

Les mandamos cariño, amor y solidaridad en esta era de guerra despiadada,
de extracción y expansión devastadora de fósiles combustibles, y de una
pandemia que cumplió dos años y sigue arrasando. Nos unimos a la gente
resistiendo el genocidio y la represión brutal en Ucrania, Siria,
Palestina, Afganistán, Yemen, Somalia y Filipinas, junto con movimientos
antimilitaristas de todo el mundo.

La milicia estadounidense es la mayor consumidora de fósiles combustibles
del planeta. Para terminar con la economía de fósiles combustibles y
construir una economía regenerativa, debemos clausurar las bases y
operaciones militares alimentadas por fósiles combustibles, retirar las
instalaciones militares afuera de EE.UU. y en territorios ocupados y
asegurar la rectificatión de tóxicos y una transición justa para los
sitios de bases a usos comunitarios saludables y resilientes.

Reducir la contaminación climática causada por las fuerzas militarizadas
requiere una divulgación detallada y completa de sus emisiones de gases de
efecto invernadero y objetivos de reducción, como aquellos declarados en
la RESOLUCIÓN PARA LA DECLARACIÓN Y REDUCCIÓN DE EMISIONES DEL
DEPARTAMENTO DE DEFENSA [3]. Ponerle un fin a la contaminación militar
también implica que debemos tomar acción para readjudicar los fondos de
políticas climáticamente destructivas y motivadas por la industria de la
guerra, e invertir en soluciones comunitarias alternativas.

Es hora de prohibir la fabricación de armas, readaptar los equipos
militares y las fábricas de armas para crear trabajos regenerativos, y
negociar tratados para prohibir el comercio, el tráfico y la distribución
de armas de guerra. Para asegurar un futuro saludable, debemos poner un fin
a la producción, el desarrollo y las pruebas de armas nucleares que
históricamente han sido probadas en tierra indígena y en comunidades de
color en EE.UU. y en el exterior.

HONRAMOS LAS VIDAS PERDIDAS AL EXIGIR UN FIN A LA AVARICIA Y EL
MERCANTILISMO DE LA GUERRA

Cada año, la Marcha Mundial de las Mujeres (MMM) organiza 24 HORAS DE
SOLIDARIDAD FEMINISTA INTERNACIONAL [11] en contra del poder de las
corporaciones transnacionales, en recordación del colapso de la fábrica
de Rana Plaza el 24 de abril, 2013, en Dhaka, Bangladesh. Más de 1.000
mujeres murieron y muchas fueron lesionadas al trabajar por sueldos
míseros en condiciones inhumanas.

Desde las peligrosas fábricas de ropa de los imperios de moda rápida, a
los pulcros salones de conferencias de los fabricantes de armas, la
avaricia corporativa no parpadea al arriesgar — y arrebatar — las vidas
de la gente vulnerable de nuestro planeta.

Este 24 de abril, nos unimos a la MMM en las calles y en las redes sociales
para denunciar las fuerzas neoliberales e imperialistas que están atacando
la soberanía de pueblos y territorios en todo el mundo a través de
restricciones de fronteras y la industria de la guerra. También nos
unificamos con aliadxs del movimiento DISSENTERS [9] con su campaña para
acabar con el genocidio de las armas de Boeing y su vergonzoso legado de
mercantilismo de guerra en comunidades dentro de EE.UU. y en el exterior.

Como una de las mayores fabricantes de armas del mundo, Boeing produce y
vende bombas, misiles, helicopteros y otras tecnologías de guerra a
fuerzas armadas, obteniendo casi $100 mil millones en ganancias anualmente
a partir de la guerra y la violencia militarizada. A pesar de esto, cuando
Boeing anunció que mudaría su sede central a Chicago, la Ciudad de
Chicago le pagó $29 millones en reembolsos fiscales, y muchas
instituciones locales desarrollaron relaciones con Boeing, incluyendo
universidades de la zona y escuelas públicas de Chicago.

Juntxs, luchamos contra los sistemas de guerra e imperialismo, y contra
todos los mercaderos de muerte, destrucción y explotación laboral.
Exigimos un fin a la guerra, las desinversión del complejo militar
industrial, y la inversión en formas de vida regenerativas que afirman la
vida. Le animamos a que demuestre su solidaridad con las comundiades
