Hello Comrades!

The excitement continues to build as we approach our first in-person chapter meeting in quite some time. Mask up and join us in just a few days:

This Sunday, 4/24, 2-3PM at the old YMCA.

More info below.

** 4/24/2022 Chapter Meeting (In Person!)
------------------------------------------------------------

Date: Friday 4/24
Time: 2-3PM MST
Location: Earthcare Office on 6600 Valentine Way
Our next meeting is in the Earthcare office, which you may know as the old YMCA building near the Southside Library Branch.

The agenda for the Sunday's meeting will touch on these points:

- Update on our activity with Starbucks unionizing
- Setting time for our anti-colonialist reading group, covering "A Dying Colonialism" by Franz Fanon
- Gauging interest in biweekly evening bar meetups at The Brake Room
- Confirming our official endorsement for magistrate Dev Atma Khalsa
- Reinstating our Twitter ([link removed]) and Instagram ([link removed]) accounts
- Updates on our community Discord.
- Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee: Free online labor organizing training is available from EWOC ([link removed]) .
- Reaching out to local members for any connections in our local Deaf community + invitation to learn ASL through this playlist on YouTube ([link removed]) .
- Pending Healthcare For All campaign talk from DSA regional organizer Kenny Jones this coming month
- Update on our climate justice campaigns with local orgs

The ability to meet in-person fills me with a sense of something great on the horizon. The sharing of humanity in person, even with masks and while distancing, is a truly precious gift. Let's do what we can to build relationships with each other--it's way better for our mental health than doom-scrolling on social media all day!

In Solidarity,

Jonathan Vair Duncan
Santa Fe DSA co-chair
