Today, our Republican opponent became the first person in the race to put ads up on TV. She has already poured $500,000 into her own campaign and says that she’ll loan herself “whatever amount is necessary to make this a competitive race.”
I’ll be direct with you – this is going to be a tough race. We’re facing opponents with deep pockets and Super PACs, and we know the Republican Governors Association is targeting Rhode Island this year. Can Governor McKee count on your support to help power our campaign to victory? [[link removed]]

Here’s the bottom line: We can win this race and keep Rhode Island under Democratic leadership, but it’s critical that we step up our fundraising.
