Delaware Democrats have been successful in recent election cycles, but we can’t take a single election for granted. That’s why moving forward, we are going to be ramping up our efforts to build a strong Democratic infrastructure that will defend our incumbents, flip red seats, and protect our state. I want to be fully transparent about what this means for you. Starting these next few weeks, we will be sending you more fundraising emails than we normally do, and I want to explain a little bit about why.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my years in the party, it’s that reaching voters is not easy or cheap, but our 2022 midterm elections are just around the corner. That’s why the Delaware Democratic Party is committed to making larger investments in organizing, training, and voter protection than ever before.
These organizing programs are just as important as they are expensive, and we need your help to put our plans into action. I know we don’t normally email you like this, and you know that I wouldn’t if I didn’t have to. We simply have no time to waste. If you are able, please chip in $25 or whatever feels best ( even a couple of bucks goes a long way ). There’s no doubt this will be an expensive effort, but from what I’ve seen, it’s the most important thing we can do to continue our Democratic victories. [[link removed]]
I hope you understand where we are coming from, and why it’s so important that you help us build our infrastructure to defend Democrats at every level of Government.
We’ve seen what happens when we elect Democrats to office: we raised the minimum wage to $15 an hour, we improved standards for primary care and enhanced access to telehealth, we funded mental health professionals for elementary schools, we expanded access to higher education, we tackled climate change by modernizing our RPS, and we created automatic voter registration, and so much more. There is simply too much at stake to rest on our laurels now.
