announced
that
it
will
grant
Temporary
Protected
Status
(TPS)
for
Cameroon.
The
designation
will
provide
much-needed
protection
to
thousands
of
Cameroonian
nationals
in
the
U.S.
who
faced
the
possibility
of
deportation
into
armed
conflict.


TPS
is
a
temporary
immigration
status
provided
to
nationals
of
certain
countries
experiencing
an
ongoing
armed
conflict,
environmental
disaster,
or
extraordinary
and
temporary
conditions.
