When I accepted the nomination to be a part of the 2022 Man & Woman of
the Year campaign to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), I
knew it would be a way to impact the staggering cost of health care in
this country, where a cancer diagnosis can mean bankruptcy.
Not only does LLS work on the policy we need at the federal level, but
they also run an incredible patient aid program. In fact, last year the
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society provided over $5.2 million in Co-Pay
assistance to Arizona patients and over $125,000 in travel assistance.
How can you help?
Join me for a special event involving the congressional race to oust
Rep. David Schweikert.
On May 1st, I am hosting all three Democratic candidates vying to take
on Rep. Schweikert this November. I'll moderate an insightful and fun
conversation with these passionate individuals, and I'll answer the
much-asked question, "What was it like to debate Schweikert?"
We'll talk politics, have some fun, bid on amazing auction items and
learn more about the good work the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society does.
