Insurrectionist Madison Cawthorn spoke at an extreme, right-wing rally hosted by Donald Trump yesterday here in North Carolina. Once again, Cawthorn made it clear how out of step he is with Western North Carolina values, folks:

"If you put America first patriots in power in Washington, DC. If we put Donald Trump back in command in the White House, my friends, we will embrace the spirit of our founding fathers."

Cawthorn knows he’s in trouble. He’s losing the support of his own party’s leadership, so he’s counting on Trump’s help to rally his right-wing base for the primary. Cawthorn will do, say, and spend whatever it takes to build his brand and end up in the headlines.

We’ve seen this divisive playbook before and it’s up to us to prove it won’t work again. We need to reject Trump and Cawthorn’s plans for an extremist takeover of our state.

While Cawthorn stokes division, Jasmine is centering her campaign on the issues that actually keep people up at night – from the opioid crisis to needing childcare so they can go to work.

Jasmine has been a candidate for the people of Western NC since day one, and she will always put her constituents' needs above special interests. That’s why she doesn’t accept a dime of corporate PAC money.

But that also means she’s counting on your support to give us a serious grassroots boost following this rally. We still need to raise $1,112 to meet our $10,000 emergency Rapid Response goal – can we count on you to chip in $25 today?
