Insurrectionist Madison Cawthorn spoke at an extreme, right-wing rally hosted by Donald Trump yesterday here in North Carolina. Once again, Cawthorn made it clear how out of step he is with Western North Carolina values, folks:

Cawthorn knows he’s in trouble. He’s losing the support of his own party’s leadership, so he’s counting on Trump’s help to rally his right-wing base for the primary. Cawthorn will do, say, and spend whatever it takes to build his brand and end up in the headlines.

We’ve seen this divisive playbook before and it’s up to us to prove it won’t work again. We need to reject Trump and Cawthorn’s plans for an extremist takeover of our state.
