A Black woman will finally sit on the Supreme Court! Ketanji Brown Jackson, [[link removed]] who was confirmed to the U.S. Supreme Court yesterday, will be the first Black woman as well as the first former public defender to serve on the nation’s highest court, and she will be one of the two women of color on the Court along with Justice Sonia Sotomayor. In the 232 year history of the Supreme Court, only five women have served, and three are on the Court today.

One in five local election administrators say they are likely to leave their jobs before the 2024 presidential election [[link removed]] . This is a result of the new emergence of harassment and even death threats that election officials are receiving from proponents of “The Big Lie”—the baseless claim that the 2020 election was stolen.
On Tuesday, April 12, 2022, we will join partners and activists from across the country in delivering flowers, thank you cards, and other forms of gratitude to thank these election heroes for doing their jobs and say that we stand with them and the essential work that they do so our democracy can function. Join one of the dozens of events [[link removed]] that will take place across the country on Tuesday.
