We know that our democracy is stronger when everyone is represented and heard. But right now, only 1.9% of all voting members of Congress, 1% of all statewide elected executives, and 1% of state legislators are Asian American, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander women.

Here at New American Leaders, we are committed to closing the representation gap and creating a more inclusive democracy. Hosted in New York City on May 13th-15th, our AANHPI Women Rising program [[link removed]] will teach participants how to own their authentic stories and leadership skills, address anti-Asian hate, grow their power, and transform our democracy. Then, through a two-part webinar series, these incredible women will learn how they can use their experiences and stories to run for office, influence policy decisions, and create more intersectional and inclusive communities at every level of our democracy.
