Folks, we need to talk about the oil companies.
While hard-working Americans are getting sticker shock when they fill up their cars, at an average of $4.25 per gallon of gas, the oil companies are raking in the profits. In fact, most energy companies will make billions more this year than they did in 2021.
It’s clear to me that we need to start holding these companies accountable. Americans should not be paying a premium just so energy corporations can make record profits and CEOs can have record compensation
I’m working hard in Congress to ensure that the price of gas goes down, and for me, that includes holding big oil and energy companies accountable for the prices they are forcing on Americans. Will you help me do this, friends, and keep me in Congress so I can advocate for accountability? [[link removed]]

At this critical time, I want to make sure the oil companies — that have received bailouts from the government in the past — are not taking advantage of the American people. Contribute now to keep Democrats fighting against Big Oil and providing relief for motorists: [[link removed]]

Thanks, all. You’ll be hearing more from me soon about this issue.
